Outdoor Activites in Dublin
Seize the opportunity and enjoy the sunshine in the capital this weekend. With temperatures predicted to be in the early 20’s it is the perfect chance to soak up the sunshine.

Where better to be than at the beach relaxing yourself on a sunny day? Not that we get to do it often so make the most of it while you can.
Perfect for a family day out without having to spend crazy amounts of money.
Killiney Beach – when visiting this beach stick to the north end at white rock, the views of the sugarloaf mountain are amazing.
Velvet Strand Portmarnock – this beach stretches for miles, perfect for a long walk.
Donabate Beach – escape the madness of the city. Located in the north of the capital it is a great place to relax, read a book or take the dogs for a walk.
Dine Al Fresco
Grab your picnic basket and blanket and go dine al fresco. The perfect opportunity to catch up with friends and enjoy the sunshine (while it’s here).
Here’s some great spots to enjoy your al fresco experience.
Iveagh Gardens – enjoy a picnic in the middle of the city. Ideal to kick back and relax.
Phoenix Park – this large area of grassland is great for dining al fresco, you may even come across some of the parks beautiful wild deer. You can also hire bikes and explore all of what the park has to offer.
St Stephens Green – in an ideal location right in the heart of the city. The park also has a playground, great for keeping the kids entertained.
The sun is shining so does that mean it is acceptable to eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Of course! There is nothing more enjoyable than a delicious ice cream on a hot summers day so here is a list of the top spots around the city.
Scrumdiddly’s – claim to have 2,400 flavours and combinations to choose from so you are sure to find something you like here. Situated in Donabate, Dún Laoghaire and they sometimes have a pop-up shop in Arnotts so keep any eye out for that.

Gino’s Gelato – one of Irelands largest ice cream chains situated in various locations around the capital. You can choose from a range of ice creams as well as crepes, waffles, gelato and coffee, so something to suit everyone.
Artic Stone – this is something different for you ice cream lovers. Artic Stone is Irelands first hand rolled ice cream company. They are based in Blackrock Market, Bray and the Peoples Park Dun Laoghaire – they are in these locations at different times throughout the week so check out their website before heading anywhere.
