Dublin Zoo – Amberley

Dublin Zoo is located in the Phoenix Park, Europe’s largest urban park. We would highly recommending taking the LUAS (Dublin’s Tram System) which should get you there in 20 minutes. Dublin Zoo is one of the world’s oldest and most popular zoos, established in 1831. The Zoo began with 46 animals and 72 birds but over the years has grown to become a beached Noah’s Arc, with 2 of everything.Take a gander at the animals of the Far East including the Asian Elephants that call Dublin Zoo their home (not literally).
You can also take a look at the reptiles of South America from behind the safety of bullet proof glass. Dublin Zoo also has Gorillas, Tigers, Monkeys, Hippos and Rhinos. Dublin Zoo has one of the best reputations in terms of animal welfare and cleanliness stretching back almost 200 years.Dublin Zoo is the perfect family day out in Dublin.
